Hometown: Pescara, Italy

Appearance:
Lovino is often compared to his brother in almost anything. One of the main things people compare them about is their appearance. This Italian, unlike his brother, has dark auburn hair that will easily change from brown to red depending on the light. His eyes are a dark green, always looking thoughtful or annoyed. Lovino has light tan skin from hours spent lounging around outside gardening or reading his books; those are his hobbies and he will do them every chance he gets. The Italian has reading glasses that he keeps stowed away in the bottom of his bag, only pulling them out when he feels like he needs them. His most distinctive feature is the curl of hair that defies gravity and the cool look he plasters on his face when modeling for work.

Personality:
Lovino Vargas is a bit of a conundrum. At first glance, he doesn’t seem like a decent person. He always seems to be scowling and it takes a decent amount to get him to smile. He’s quick to jump to the wrong conclusion and will often use physical violence when he is extremely annoyed. While working as a model, he has to tone down his violent tendencies and will try not to hit anyone unless they really annoy him. He’s also a rude, loud mouthed person who tries to isolate himself while thinking this is the best course of action.

Lovino has an inferiority complex. All of his life he’s been compared to the younger Italian and he’s starting to get tired of it. If someone compares him to his little brother, Lovino will generally become upset and express himself in different ways, such as getting depressed or becoming more violent. In addition to his inferiority complex, the Italian has low self-esteem. These things, combined together, do not end well. Lovino will often feel useless and can never be satisfied with his own work.

Despite his feelings of low self-esteem, Lovino cares for his brother…perhaps a bit too much. As the only constant in his life and the only one who he could always turn to, the Italian decided that Feliciano was the only person he could trust. In the cool business of the modeling world, there are many harsh people and Lovino does everything he can to protect his younger brother.

It might take a while, but if Lovino begins to become attached to someone, he’ll begin to change before their eyes. He’ll become a bit nicer and caring while showing some of his deeper emotions that people don’t normally get to see. If he doesn’t like someone, however, he’ll let his opinions be known with curses, swears and abrupt bouts of physical violence.

Even though he’s a very emotional person, his years in the modeling world have taught him that if he can’t turn off your emotions and put up a mask, then he’d never make it in this cruel and competitive world.

Unfortunately, he tends to like his mask a little bit too much.

Reason for Modeling:
Money was tight. Their grandfather wanted money. Two twins who could make money? The rest is history.

History:
Lovino spent his whole life with his younger twin brother. From the moment of their birth, they were together, never to be separated. For the first eight years of their lives, the two Italians were relatively happy, having happy loving parents who spoiled them rotten. Soon after their eighth birthday, however, their parents had been traveling to go visit some relatives… Before they could even reach their destination, the plane crashed and Lovino and Feliciano never saw their parents again.

Their grandfather took them in after this horrific event, showering them…mostly Feliciano…with affection. In Italy, the old man had been popular with the woman; it wasn’t a rare sight to see him with women hanging off his arms. With crazy dreams, the family of three moved to America where their grandfather tried, and failed, to make it as a romance novelist. In an attempt to get more money, the old man would send them to modeling agencies, trying to get them work.

They eventually found work, using their twin charm to their advantage. Over the years, Lovino and Feliciano have been gaining popularity with the younger generation. They currently live in a small apartment that Lovino bought three years ago.

So far, Lovino wasn’t enjoying his time at Hogwarts. How the hell was he supposed to when he was stuck in the house no one wanted to join? Over the course of the last week he’d had to deal with three Slytherins who felt the need to pick on him because of his house. Needless to say, those jerks weren’t going to bother him again, but it was still annoying.

A soft sigh escaped his lips as he adjusted his reading glasses. Reading was one of his hobbies and often helped him calm down if he was having a bad day…like this one. He had run into that loud American kid earlier and…he hadn’t been too pleasant afterward. The Italian was still trying to get over his annoyance with the other kid.

A soft voice distracted him from his book. A young girl, around his age, had come to a stop next to him and was muttering to herself. The muttering was annoying; Lovino couldn’t focus on his reading with her light comments… But at the same time…it wasn’t too bad. The Italian closed his book and looked up at her.

“It wouldn’t be that hard if you walked over and talked to people,” Lovino commented with a small shrug. “Most of the students here don’t seem like they’re too bad.”

After making his comments, the Italian turned back to his book, opening it to the page he had left off. If the girl tried talking to him, he might respond. She didn’t seem as bad as some people in this idiotic house…and it might not be too bad having someone to call a friend.
