He has shoulder-length wavy blond hair, clear blue eyes, and an oozy, incessant smile. A little stubble decorates his chin, to lend him that certain air of maturity, oui? He used to obsess over his youth, hours wasted in front of a mirror to bring out his eyes just so, but now he’s realized the best wines are aged (and has laboriously cut his preparation time to half of what it was). Besides, his eyes shine beautifully all on their own~

Personality:

With charm so thick it practically surrounds him like Jello, Francis is anything but shy. He pursues perfection and holds beauty in very high regard. He is picky about his partners, although gender is irrelevant and unimportant in comparison to good looks. He is affectionate, sometimes to the point of excessive, and not easily deterred.

His work and home life are completely and utterly mixed. There is little to no distinction between the two, and it shows. He stays late and arrives early and enjoys baking and cooking, often bringing food to work to share (although very rarely do any of the models partake). This is probably because, seeing as he is so involved in his work, he has very little time for an extensive serious relationship with anyone not in the industry, but, hating to be alone, instead throws his full self into his work, creating a rather vicious cycle.

Easily swayed by his emotions, Francis is often quick to make decisions, and just as quick to get caught up in something new and forget them. However, he is far from incompetent, and when he puts his mind to things, he can be very driven. He takes great pride in his work – he makes plain people pretty, pretty people gorgeous, and gorgeous people gods. And no one has access to the best models like the best stylist~

He does not believe in doing things halfway; ever the perfectionist, the quality of work Francis puts out is one of the best in the industry and nothing short of extraordinary. This sometimes leads to drama between him and those he works with, seeing as he has been known to force co-workers into redoing an entire model and postponing shoots if the makeup is not up to par.

He can sometimes act like a petulant child, but, if nothing else, Francis is persistent, insistent, and charismatic. He is a lover, not a fighter, and his only weapon is a devious use slick words and husky appeal. What Francis wants, Francis gets. And big brother knows best, oui?

History:

Ever since he was young, Francis wanted to be a model. He knew he was attractive, and he loved being in the spotlight. He also enjoyed being in such close proximity to similarly beautiful people. Despite being intelligent, he barely scraped by through school. He spent the first part of his working career jumping between jobs as a busboy, a cook, and a cashier at the local grocer.

At the rather late age of twenty-four, he finally left his hometown of Vichy and broke out big in Paris. For a brief period of time, he traveled the world, owning the runway, making love to the camera, and causing the hearts of males and females alike to flutter. Soon, however, he found that being a model was not the best way to get close to others in his profession; they saw him as cheap and gaudy and, most importantly, competition. Furthermore, talks of his future as a model (he rather liked to sunbathe – nude – without sunblock) led to increased paranoia about his aging, which led to stress and, god forbid, wrinkles.

He eventually decided that it wasn’t worth it, but had long since fallen in love with the fashion industry and couldn’t bear to leave it. So he kept himself in the business and the limelight, albeit in a different area, falling back on the skills he had built when he was young assisting his mother in the spa and salon she worked at in Vichy.

The only sour point in his past is his father. Don’t bother asking, because he sure as hell won’t talk.

- There is no such thing as bad publicity.
- The naked form is a thing of beauty, and should be revered and displayed.
- He is not bisexual, he’s pansexual.
- He refuses to leave his past behind; he embraces and flaunts it, rather, and is proud of his French heritage.
- He smoked briefly when he was fifteen, because of peer pressure, and then again late in his modeling career. He hates smoking, and is still struggling with quitting.
- He is a mild insomniac (mostly because he doesn’t like sleeping alone).

RP Sample:

Francis twisted, legs shifting restlessly beneath suddenly constricting blankets. No position was comfortable, and it was much too warm. He turned onto his side, forcing himself to close his eyes and maybe count some sheep.

“Un… deux… trios…” the sheeps’ hind legs grew long and lean and a delicious bronze color, “quatre… cinq… six…” The legs were quickly followed by a nice torso, stomach smooth and fit. “Sept… huit…” A slim, graceful neck arched up toward full lips, dark eyes, fantastic cheekbones… the gorgeous sheep (could such a creature still be called that?) reached its hands toward him, inviting him over.

He shot up, irritated, fighting against the blankets before tumbling out of bed, flicking lights on as he made his way to the kitchen. He mentally ran through the list of necessary ingredients, grabbing them off shelves and from cupboards. The simple act of measuring out the sugar soothed his frazzled nerves and soon he was humming folksongs under his breath, moving around with expert precision.

A little over half an hour later, he eyed his nearly-finished product with pride. Who cares if it was the wrong time of year for [italics]le Gallette des Rois[/italics]? No one else would know. He picked it up, popping it into the refrigerator for the morning. When he woke up later, he would remove it and bake it, so that when he presented it at work, it would be fresh.

Only several minutes after baking, while washing bowls and coming off the post-cooking high, Francis started to feel his eyelids drooping. Pushing down the feeling of relief (he didn’t want to scare the sleep off with excitement), he set the half-washed bowl back into the sink, turned off all the lights, and finally went to bed.

(Gallette des Rois: Cake of the Kings; eaten by on/near Epiphany Day. There is usually a small trinket or bean hidden inside, and whoever finds it in their slice of cake gets to be King/Queen for the day. Not much dialogue, or perv!Francis here, so if you’d like, I can put up a different sample?)
